Itinerary

04:00 – 07:30 | Hotel Pickup and Breakfast

The adventure begins early in the morning with hotel pickup in Cusco at approximately 4:00 a.m.

From there, we begin a scenic drive of about 2.5 hours through the southern highlands of Cusco. Along the way, you will pass traditional Andean villages, open plains, and beautiful mountain landscapes.

We will stop at a rural restaurant where you will enjoy a local breakfast to prepare for the hike.

07:30 – 08:30 | Drive to Layo District

After breakfast, we continue the journey for approximately one more hour toward the Layo District, which marks the starting point of our hike.

During this part of the journey you will enjoy beautiful views of Langui-Layo Lake, one of the largest lakes in southern Cusco.

08:30 – 10:00 | Hike to Pallay Punchu Mountain

Before beginning the hike, your guide will provide a short briefing and important recommendations.

The hike covers approximately 5 kilometers and typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace.

Upon reaching the viewpoint at 4,790 meters above sea level, you will witness the extraordinary rock formations of Pallay Punchu and enjoy incredible panoramic views of the Andean highlands.

You will have time to explore the area, take photos, and enjoy the unique scenery.

10:00 – 12:00 | Descent and Return to Transport

After exploring Pallay Punchu, we begin the descent back to the vehicle.

During the return walk, you will continue enjoying the surrounding landscapes and may spot local wildlife such as llamas and alpacas grazing in the highlands.

12:00 – 13:00 | Buffet Lunch

After the hike we will stop at a countryside restaurant where you will enjoy a buffet lunch with traditional Peruvian dishes.

13:00 – 16:30 | Return to Cusco

After lunch we begin the drive back to Cusco.

Arrival is expected at approximately 4:30 p.m., with drop-off near the historic center or at your hotel.
