CODE OF CONDUCT AGAINST SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

By virtue of Law No. 28251; Law against abuse and sexual exploitation”, which incorporated the crimes of user – client and sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in the field of tourism; we consider the MINIMUM COMMITMENTS TO BE ASSUMED BY ALL TOURIST SERVICE PROVIDERS.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In order to counteract the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in travel and tourism, tourism service providers shall adopt a Code of Conduct to be observed by their legal representatives, directors, administrators, employees and contractors linked to the provision of tourism services, in order to enforce the obligations contemplated in Law 28251, as well as to prevent the conducts typified in the same law and also to incorporate the following minimum control measures:<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Refrain from offering in tourism promotion programs and tourism plans, expressly or surreptitiously, plans for the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.<\/li>\n\n
  • Refrain from giving information to tourists, directly or through an intermediary, about places where commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents is coordinated or practiced.<\/li>\n\n
  • Refrain from taking tourists, directly or through third parties, to establishments or places where commercial sexual exploitation of children is practiced, as well as taking them to places where tourists are staying, even if they are boats located in Altamar, for purposes of commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.<\/li>\n\n
  • Refrain from providing vehicles on tourist routes for the purpose of exploitation or sexual abuse of children and adolescents.<\/li>\n\n
  • Prevent the entry of children and adolescents to hotels or places of lodging and accommodation, bars, similar businesses and other establishments where tourist services are provided, for purposes of exploitation or sexual abuse.<\/li>\n\n
  • Adopt measures to prevent personnel linked to the company in any capacity whatsoever from offering tourist services that allow sexual activity with children and adolescents.<\/li>\n\n
  • To report to MINCETUR and other competent authorities, the facts that may have come to their knowledge by any means, as well as the existence of places related to sexual exploitation of children and adolescents and ensure that within the company there are channels for the corresponding complaint to the competent authorities.<\/li>\n\n
  • Design and disseminate within the company and with its suppliers of goods and services, a policy in which the provider establishes measures to prevent and counteract all forms of sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in travel and tourism.<\/li>\n\n
  • Train all personnel linked to the company on the prevention of commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents.<\/li>\n\n
  • To inform its users about the legal consequences in Peru of sexual exploitation and abuse of children and adolescents.<\/li>\n\n
  • Post this Code of Conduct and the other commitments and measures that the provider wishes to assume in order to protect children and adolescents in a visible place for the employees of the business establishment(s).
